Collaboration with VetAssist is another crucial aspect of our services. This partnership ensures that veterans are not alone in navigating the complexities of their benefits. We stand beside them, offering support and guidance every step of the way, which can be especially beneficial for those who may be overwhelmed by the bureaucratic processes involved.

Understanding the eligibility criteria for the Aid & Attendance benefit can be daunting, but we break it down into manageable steps. For example, we assist veterans in gathering necessary documentation, such as service records and financial statements, which can be critical in establishing their eligibility. This support not only simplifies the process but also helps to ensure that no eligible veteran misses out on benefits that could significantly enhance their daily living.

Moreover, we emphasize the importance of the ‘3-Ms’ criteria in a clear and approachable manner. Our team is here to provide examples and real-life scenarios that illustrate how these criteria apply to different veteran situations, making it easier for them to understand their potential eligibility.

For instance, when discussing the ‘Medical’ criteria, we highlight how veterans with conditions such as arthritis or mobility issues may qualify. Providing relatable examples not only helps to clarify the criteria but also reassures veterans that they are not alone in their experiences.

In Partnership with VetAssist

Veterans Assist helps clarify the eligibility requirements necessary for veterans seeking assistance.

In addition, we collaborate with VetAssist to help veterans and surviving spouses determine eligibility for the VA Aid & Attendance benefit.

You may qualify if you meet the “3-Ms” criteria:

Military: You are a veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran who served at least 90 days of active duty, with at least one day during wartime, and received an honorable or general discharge. (Persian Gulf War veterans must have served two years of active duty or the full period they were called to service.)

Medical: You have a non-service-connected medical condition that requires assistance with daily living activities.

Money: Your net worth is less than $138,489 (as established by Congress in December 2021). Your primary residence and vehicle are not counted toward this limit, and ongoing unreimbursed medical and long-term care expenses may further reduce your countable income.

If you meet these criteria, you may be eligible for the VA Aid & Attendance benefit, and we are here to help guide you through your options.
